Next MSEN Meeting May/14/10 in Portage la Prairie

We will be having an abbreviated meeting/ information session at the Denise Bissonnette presentation during the lunch break. The location is the Glesby Centre. There will be some business discussion but it will also be to introduce any newcomers to MSEN and give them information about becoming a member. Agendas will be sent out previous to the meeting

Denise Bissonnette - Beyond Traditional Job Development

On May 14, 2010 MSEN will be cohosting a day with Denise Bissonnette. It will be held in Portage La Prairie at The Glesby Centre, 11-2nd St NE .

Registration at the door will be between 8:30-9:00 and the session will be from 9:00-4:00. For MSEN members, self advocates and students the price will be $25, for non-MSEN members it will be $50. Lunch and coffee breaks included. There will be a brief MSEN meeting during the lunch break. This is a really affordable training opportunity and we look forward to seeing lots of people there.

We will be meeting from 10-12 am at the River East Access Centre at 975 Henderson Hwy. We are trying to find a room that accommodates all of the concerns of our members and is affordable. This building has lots of free parking, is fully accessible, and is free for community groups. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

MSEN Meeting Dec/18/09 - An MSEN response to the Opening Doors document

We will be meeting from 10-12 at 432 Ellice Ave at CMHA in the Education Room. Oly Backstrom and Coralie Bezpalko will be leading the discussion and we will making suggestions from a supported employment perspective for things that the province should consider as they formalize their plans to go forward with this document.
